2 Weeks in my Host Family & first week of school

Two weeks ago, I arrived in my Host Family.

I can't belive that I am here for 2 Weeks now.. I mean HOW?! The time passed so fast..
At the one hand I feel like I am being here for months, but on the other hand it feels like 4 days or something like that.

I really like my host family, but the most my host sister, cause she is really nice to me and helps me with everything, also I can speak englsih with her. Her englsih is better than the english of the most people here, cause she tooked extra classes after school to learn english. Here you have to do that, If you want to leran real english...

I get more used to spanish in the last two weeks, but I am still not really good with it.
Also my fisrt school week is over. The name of my school is "Unidad Educativa Ambato". We didn't really had classes this week, it was more for organize stuff and somethig like that. My classmates are really cool and also I like my school a lot, but it's soooooo different to Germany. We have claases from 7am to 12:40pm each day and in that I think one break.. but I am not sure, cause in the last 5 days we had something like 5 teachers.. and so we had a lot of free time in school.
At some point it was boring, but then I talked with my classmates or other people from my school, cause EVERYONE wanted to talk to me or Moritz, the other exchange student from Germany at my School, and that was really funny and really annoying at the same time.
Sometimes it's really hard to talk with my classmates, cause the english here in Ecuador isn't that good..... so we tried to talk in spanish and it worked and when I did'nt understood something then we used google translate xD.
Also hard was to follow that what the teachers are saying to us, because I don't now so much vocabulary and expecally the vocabulary of physics or math... but I have one girl in my class who really helps me, she write the important stuff in a notebook and I can coopy it and also I can ask her about homeworks and stuff like this.

It is so good to have Moritz in the school too, cause then I have someone who understands me when I talk about the differents and also just to have someone who goes through the same things like I do.
In my class I think we are 28 and we are sitting alone at this tabels you always see in movies about the USA xD. And I think in my class are 5 or 6 Boys. But in Moritz claas are just girls, expect him... we don't really understand why he is in that class and why he is not in my class and I am in his.. but now we're better with this and yeah.

In nearlly every subject I need to make something called "caratula". That is the name of the opening page in the notebook, cause you need a different notebook for every subject to... , and in that caratula I need to write the school name, my name, the teachers name, the subject, my class, the year (2017-2018) and then you have to draw something about the subject on the page too.. It tooks so long for doing that, but I need to get good marks if I want to stay here so....

In Ecuador the highest mark is a 10 and the worst the 1 or 0 and the passing mark is 7. At the beging its okay if i get a 5 or 6 but at the end of the year, or better on chrsitmas I think, I NEED to get a 7 in my claases to stay in Ecuador... I am really afraid that I am not good enough or that I just don't leran spanish so fast to get the right marks.. but I hope I get it and I really try to learn more spanish.

Also a big different is that in every school in Ecuador you have to wear a school uniform, in Germany you don't have something like that, but I really like my uniform. So I have two types, like every school too, one normal one with a grey skirt, white shirt, a blue blazer, white long socks and black ballerinas. And a sport uniform, this uniform you wear once or twice a week. Its a blue long sport shorts and under that long one I wear a short one, so when we have sport i pull the long one of, also I wear a blue shirt with two grey stripes on the shoulder and a blue Jackett with grey sleevs, also I have to wear white shoes to it.

Yeah I think that's it for today, I hope y'alldoing great.
